F.A.Q.
- Are they doves or pigeons?
- My church or wedding site does not allow birdseed, or other conventional items to be used, will there be a problem with the birds?
- I'm having an evening wedding, can I still have the birds released?
- How are the birds displayed at the ceremony?
- What if a bird "escapes" before it is supposed to?
- How will my white bird release work?
- Will the birds soil my dress or guests?
- How will I know where to have my Photographer or Videographer for the release?
Our birds are white pigeons which are specifically bred for racing. White doves, purchased from pet stores, are not capable of surviving in the wild and once they are released they cannot return to their home. Some cannot even fly more than a few feet. Our amazing birds love their homes and are specially bred and raised to return quickly and safely to their homes.
Unlike birdseed, rice, bubbles, balloons, etc. there is no mess with our birds. Our birds are fast becoming the cleanest, safest, most acceptable and breathtaking finish to your ceremony. Please check with your church official to verify the birds acceptance at the ceremony.
The birds will not fly after dark, and keeping their safety in mind we will not do a release if the birds will not be able to safely return to their loft, eat and settle on their nests that same night. If this is the case you may want to ask about our display packages. We will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
The birds will be displayed in decorative cages on a table with a white cloth.
You will practice holding the birds approximately a week or two before the ceremony so you are comfortable with them. Because of this we have never had an "escape". This helps to make you less nervous on your wedding day. Knowing how the birds will react will allow for a beautiful and graceful release. This will also help you give your photographer every opportunity for a wonderful picture.
What kind of effect have you dreamed about? We have specific packages for you to choose from, however, we can customize a package for your release with your wishes and the safety of the birds in mind. If you prefer not to actually hold the birds, we can have you release them from a lovely basket.
No. The birds fly with their legs tucked underneath them when released and it is physically impossible for them to "you know" while they are flying. You will also be holding them with their feet tucked up underneath them.
We will be more than happy to talk to your Photographer or Videographer about what the best angles would be for a good picture.
